Day 1 - Venice/Verona/Lake Maggiore
Arrival in Venice on you own. Later in the morning at agreed meeting point your driver will wait for you.
Departure to Verona where an English speaking guide will escort you to one of Italy’s most fascinating cities which locks up a wide number of monuments and historic buildings, such as Romeo and Juliet’s balcony and the Roman Theatre.
Depart for Stresa where you will have the chance to admire a lot of churches, canals, restaurants & shops. Dinner and overnight at your hotel
Day 2 -Lake Maggiore
Breakfast at hotel. In the morning departure from Stresa with your private English speaking guide. Regular transfer by motor coach among some of the most beautiful islands on the Maggiore lake. The Isola Madre houses one of the oldest botanical gardens in Italy .
On the Isola Bella you could visit the magnificent palace ,old residence of the Borromeo family. It contain spriceless works of art. The botanical gardens of Villa Taranto where you will have the chance to admire thousands of different plants , crossed by 7 km of paths .
They are considered among the most beautiful in Europe. Finally you will stop at Isola dei Pescatori, a small village with a small square surrounded by tight and winding alleys. Late afternoon back to your hotel by motorcoach. Dinner and overnight at hotel
Day 3 - Lake Maggiore / La Spezia
After breakfast departure to La Spezia by private transfer. Check in at your hotel. Rest of the day at your leisure. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4 –La Spezia / Cinque Terre
Breakfast at hotel. Today you will discover by train connections one of the most landscapes in the world. Five ( cinque ) villages, suspended between sea and land listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. Starting from Riomaggiore , a village known for its historic characters and wine.
Then proceed to Manarola walking along the famous Path of Love (at the moment it is closed and a longer route in boat will be offer as financial compensation )please remind in case of bad weather it may not be possible to use the boat.
Your journey will continue to Monterosso, an ancient fishing village considered “ the pearl of the Cinque Terre “. Back to your hotel, dinner and overnigh
Day 5 –La Spezia / Siena
Breakfast at hotel. Then departure to Siena passing through the splendid landscapes of Tuscany region. Arrival in Siena.
Check in at your hotel and overnight.
Day 6 –San Gimignano/ Chianti & Montalcino
After breakfast, departure for a full day regular tour in Chianti area.
First you will reach San Gimignano, a little medieval town declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Then move to Monteriggioni, its walls dated back to the 12th Century, are endowed with 14 tours that Dante likened to the Giants of Inferno on his Divine Comedy.
Following we will relax at a Chianti winery for a lunch with salami, cheeses and other local products, accompanied by a tasting of Chianti wines. Then proceed to Val d’Orcia, another Tuscan jewel and UNESCO.
World Heritage site since 2004. Finally we are going to reach Montalcino, with its 1500 hectares of Brunello vine yards that have contributed making the area world-famous. Our last stop will be in a local wine cellar where we will taste the renowed Brunello of Montalcino, the first Italian DOCG wines and typical local products. Back to Siena. Overnight at your hotel
Day 7 –Siena / Assisi / Rome
Breakfast at hotel, check out and departure by private transfer to Assisi, a great religious town. Half day visit with your English speaking guide of the Basilica with its magnificent paintings by Giotto.
Lunch on your own. Proceed to Rome. Check into your hotel where overnight.
Day 8 - Rome / airport
After breakfast check out and transfer to Fiumicino airport for your flight back home.
