Day 1 – Arrival in Rome
Arrival of your flight at Fiumicino airport .Pick up at the airport for your private transfer to your hotel in Rome. Check in and rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight.
Day 2 - Rome
Breakfast at hotel. Pick up at hotel and transfer to Vatican Museums to meet your English speaking guide. In the morning you will visit Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel with St. Peter‘s Basilica, ( just outside when religious holidays, Audiences and Masses of the Pope are celebrating ),your guide will introduce you to the master pieces of such great painters as Raffaello, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci. Lunch will be at a restaurant closed by where you will appreciate typical roman dishes . The afternoon will proceed with your guide to a walking tour of the major highlights of Rome including Colosseum and Imperial Fora. Once inside, your personal guide will introduce you to this ancient building once populated by various emperors, aristocrats and gladiators. Back to your hotel on your own. Free dinner and overnight Lunch on your own. Time free at leisure in the afternoon. Back to your hotel and overnight.
Day 3 – Rome to Florence with Uffizi Gallery
Breakfast in hotel, check out and private transfer to Termini railway station to take your fast train ( Freccia Rossa ) to Florence where youwill get in about 2 hours. Arrival in Florence and check in at your centrally located hotel by private transfer. Arrival in Florence and lunch on your own. In the afternoon meeting point closeto the S. M. Novella station with yourEnglish speaking guide for a walkingtour of Florence includinga visit to the Uffizi Gallery Museum. The Gallery houses a superb collectionof priceless art, originating in great part from the Medici family collection. Here, you will find the richest collection in the world of works of the Tuscan schoolamong which: Cimabue, Michelangelo, Giotto, Leonardo da Vinci and Raffaello. Back to yourhotel on yourown. Rest of afternoon and dinner will be at your free disposal. Overnight. In the afternoon we continue exploring Pompeii with a dedicated licensed local guide who will lead you to this ancient city which was partially destroyed and buried following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. Its excavation has provided an extraordinarily detailed insight into the life of a city during ancient Rome. Then proceed to your hotel in Sorrento by private transfer. Day 4 – Florence Pisa, Lucca / Florenc
Breakfast will be at the hotel. In the morning meeting point close to S. M. Novella station with your guide and transfer to Pisa where you will start a full day regular tour, to discover some of the most beautiful Renaissance architecture in Tuscany. Marvel at the sights of Pisa’ s Piazza dei Miracoli, suchas the Leaning Tower,( just outside) Duomo and much more.From here you will have time to explore this place on your own. The tour continues with a visit to a typical local wine shop, where you will taste some wines of the area. Free time available at lunch time. Afterwards the tour continues to Lucca, where you will have free time to explore the city o your own. Walking along a section of the town walls and enjoy a beautiful view over the roofs, alleys, house-towers ,the old town centre with Piazza Anfiteatro, Guinigi tower, St. Martin’s Cathedral and the typical street of antique shops. Back to Florence city center. Dinner on your own. Overnight.
Day 5 - Florence/ Venice
Breakfast and check out at your hotel and then transfer to Florence train station for departure to Venice where you will get in about 2 hours. At the train station in Venice you will have a water taxi to reach the hotel in Venice .Check in at your hotel and time for relaxing . Overnight in Venice.
Day 6 – Venice walking tour with Palazzo Ducale & Golden Basilica
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will have a walk outdoors through the most characteristic and important places for the history of Venice with a local English speaking guide Piazza San Marco - Origins, history and description of the main monuments: Basilica San Marco, Palazzo Ducale, Bell Tower, Clock Tower and Procuratie and Santa Maria Formosa with history and anecdotes related to this wonderful and characteristic square. You will have the chance to see also The Palazzo Ducale represented for centuries the seat of the Venetian political power. crossing the famous Bridge of Sighs, and entering the Venetian prisons, famous for hosting Giacomo Casanova. Back to your hotel on your own. Free time for lunch. Rest of the day at your free disposal. Dinner on your own. Overnight.
Day 7 - Venice/ Marco Polo airport
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Meet your water driver and transfer to Venice international airport for departure flight back home.
